I’ve got to be honest and admit that I was really skeptical about the 22 Minute Hard Corps program. I LOVE Hammer and Chisel, as I’m sure you’re sick of hearing, and I was so happy with the results that I really didn’t want to undo them or lose muscle. Well, I can tell you after completing the first week of the program, that is definitely not the case!
You are dripping in sweat by the end of the workouts and because they are boot-camp inspired, the moves are basic but very effective. Tony Horton is in his element in this one and I personally love that the cast are all vets– it is even more motivating to push through when they are doing it in fatigues. The moves are all set to a cadence, so you can’t slow down, even if you’re modifying.
There are some moves that I have never done before that left my legs burning (even though they are stronger than they’ve ever been), so I think that I’ll still retain plenty of muscle while probably leaning out! I personally have loved the short workouts– as a busy mom, being able to fit something in that is hard but effective in 22 minutes means I’ll even be able to shower within a half-hour!
If you’ve done the 21 Day Fix programs or Hammer and Chisel, the meal plan will be familiar to you. Since your diet contributes about 70% to your results, don’t skip this part of the program! If you’ve done the 21 Day Fix, the portion-control containers are the same. What’s different about 22 Minute Hard Corps, as you can see above, is they recommend WHEN to have them and for which meal.
The 22 Minute Hard Corps food list is similar to, but slightly different than the 21 Day Fix foods. With this meal plan book, more choices are given as examples, as compared to 21 Day Fix. There are also some great prep-ahead suggestions, how to repurpose leftovers (see below) and advice on what to do if you plateau. There are lots of yummy-sounding recipes and resources. I’ll be sure to share the ones I try!
My meal plan for the week is below– I didn’t have as much time to prep it as I usually do, so if you look closely, you’ll notice that my foods are spaced differently than the guide recommends, but as long as you’re staying within your portions, you’ll still get results!
My challengers are already having great results with it– I got a message yesterday from a girl who was already down one pants size a week in, so I can’t wait to see the results after 8 weeks! If you want to join the next group, I’d love to get you more information! You’ll just want to fill out the form below:
