Well, we technically finished the full 60 days of Hammer and Chisel almost a month ago, and have been working on round two (and loving it even more!), BUT life got super busy the past couple weeks and I kept forgetting to do an update on our results.
I can honestly say that this is my soul-mate workout– it has completely changed my body and it’s hard for pictures to really show it all, but I have leaned out and become SO much stronger. I was on the “Lean” plan and stayed about 90% on point with nutrition overall. I didn’t have a lot of weight to lose but really just wanted to tone up completely, which I definitely did.
I lost 3 lbs overall and 4 inches, but have gained a lot of muscle and muscle, as you know, weighs more than fat! My weights increased from 20lbs being the heaviest weights I used, to 35lbs and I can now do a couple un-assisted pull-ups which was a personal goal of mine! I saw the biggest change overall in my shoulders, glutes, and biceps, and have leaned out in areas (like my lower legs and upper-chest), that I never thought I could!
Ben was on the “Maintain Plan” and gained 5 lbs total. He saw a huge increase in muscle and cardio endurance and had a pretty big weight increase as well. As you can see, he has definitely gained a lot of muscle as well. He came from being a varsity athlete in college and having done power-lifting competitions, so was a bit skeptical about what a dvd program could do, but really has loved the emphasis on technique and amount or research put behind the workouts, so he’s a convert now!
I would hands-down recommend this program to anyone looking to make some major changes– if you like lifting or want to start it’s a great one. Even though it has modifiers, it’s not a program I would suggest if you’re brand-new to fitness, since it does require more technique and is a bit more intense. Sagi and Autumn are hilarious and motivating and the meal plan really helps you get results as well. If you’re interested in trying it for yourself and having me as your coach you can purchase it here. Like I mentioned, I LOVE this program and it will be one I always come back to!
My next support and accountability group will be kicking off soon and if you would like to join with me as your coach through this program, I would love to have you. I’ll be sharing my meal plans, tips, tricks, and support!
