Week Three was a little crazy around here since my son and husband got hit with Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease and prep for Easter as well. One of the things we talk about in my challenge groups are what to do when life gets crazy and you maybe feel overwhelmed or slip up. I have a couple things that help me push through–
- Don’t ruin tomorrow with what I did today. I maybe had too many indulgences, but that’s no reason to have a downward spiral!
- Know that this is LIFE– you’re going to slip up, make mistakes, and live a real life! Sometimes your kiddo is sick, sometimes life gets busy. While I try to be so prepared and that helps SO much, know that you do the best you can, don’t make excuses, and be real with yourself!
- Surround yourself with positive and accountability partners. I LOVE being a coach for this reason– I get to share and learn from others every day in my challenge groups which personally helps me a lot!
Okay, back to week three. It added in Special Ops core, which is one of the bonus dvds in the Deluxe Package. When Tony Horton said in the intro that it was the hardest ab workout he had created, I was so nervous, because any one who has done the P90X program will know how hard Ab Ripper X is. Oh boy he was right! I did it for the second time this week and was grateful to see improvement, and my abs are still sore 😉 Because this program’s workouts are so short, you don’t have a time to go slowly, so it can take a workout or two to catch on- that’s normal! Just keep doing it and you’ll get the hang of it! Here’s a sneak peek of Resistance 2– technically not the cardio day, but still gets your heart rate up HIGH!
I’ll be adding in the Three Day Refresh this week with my meal plan to detox a little. It’s a gentle, plant-based detox that has really helped me with my sugar cravings and water weight each time I’ve done it. Because of that, I’ll be toning down the workout intensity a bit so I will be modifying these moves most likely.
